We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments. Your attention to detail and adherence to aseptic techniques will contribute to the overall safety and well-being of patients.
Duties:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and solutions
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to established protocols
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washers
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting
